Register for MyUPRR on the UP.com site. Complete the Customer Registration form, review the information and click submit.
You will be notified by e-mail of your User ID and Password. After receiving this information you will be able to access “Quote Line” immediately at www.streamline.uprr.com.
What if I know the origin and destination city names but not the associated Zip Codes?
Use the Zip Code Search look-up at www.usps.com
What does it mean if the system indicates that a lane is “unavailable?”
If a lane is shown as unavailable then there is no capacity in that lane for that day. You may want to choose the next day for the pickup if that meets your service requirements.
What if I have a same day morning pick up?
Streamline offers only same-day p.m. pick-ups
What if I require a 48’ container only?
Streamline offers 48’ equipment in limited markets. Select 48’ from the equipment size criteria to determine if 48’ capacity is available.
What is the maximum number of loads that can be priced and tendered at one time?
A maximum of three (3) loads can be priced at one time.
What if I need a lower rate? Should I call to negotiate?
No, the rate provided by Quote Line is the lowest rate that will be offered by Streamline. Do not call to negotiate a lower rate.
If capacity is shown as being unavailable should I call if I have an urgent shipment?
Normally, there is no capacity available if Quote Line indicates “unavailable” for a lane. However, capacity often can be purchased for a premium price. Please call to check prices for premium capacity.
What if I have an appointment-specific pick-up and/or delivery time?
Enter the specific date and times in the Memo area of the shipment information and include the appointment times on the Order Instructions. Before booking the load Streamline will confirm the capability to meet these appointment times before accepting the load tender.
What if no lane options are displayed after I have entered the origin and destination zip codes? For example, I entered a shipment from Denver to Dallas and no lane options were returned.
Streamline does not provide service in every lane. Available service is determined by the rail lanes served by Union Pacific. Refer to the Service Guide link for a list of lanes served. Regional trucking (drayage) service is used to serve markets in proximity to major rail centers, effectively extending the range of markets that can be served.
The price I was offered was substantially higher than I expected and higher than the cost of truck service in this lane. Is there a problem with the system?
Quote Line may return a high price in a lane for one of two reasons. First, there may be a high ratio of demand to available capacity in the lane. Or, the pickup and/or delivery locations are a long distance from the nearest rail terminal. The cost of the round-trip pickup and delivery service may be skewing the rate upward.
Why do I have to wait for Streamline to confirm that my load is booked? If I was given a price and capacity is available then why isn’t my load confirmation available immediately?
Streamline cannot confirm that your load is booked until we receive your detailed Order Instructions, which normally are considered to be the official document specifying rates, terms and conditions for the move. Before accepting the tender, Streamline must review these instructions to ensure they are consistent with the original Quote Line tender and that they don’t contain any additional conditions or requirements that Streamline cannot perform.
Under what circumstances would Streamline not be able to book my load tender?
- Shipment information does not match the Quote Line tender, including pickup and delivery locations, price, pickup date and time, and beneficial owner.
- There is no capacity to perform the load pickup as specified in the tender. (Note: Trucking (drayage) capacity for pickups is typically located near rail terminals. While capacity may be available for locations near a terminal, it is not always possible to confirm that a driver is near a location that is further distance from the rail terminal)
- Additional terms or conditions are specified on the Order Instructions that cannot be performed by Streamline at the quoted price. For example, a multistop pickup or a load containing hazardous material.
- Load tender has expired (tenders expire after 2 hours).
- Capacity was sold out between the time your tender was entered in Quote Line and the time when your order instructions were received.
- Same day pickup was entered after 12:00 p.m. of the origin time zone.
